This is my successes and failures back to the simple life. We are in the process of making our 2 1/2 acre property into a mini farm. We are looking for a self sufficent life, well getting as close as possible to it. I wanted to share what we gave up and what we have gained from this journey. Frustrating
Sorry for not posting sooner. I have been trying to play catch up with the garden. It has been raining soooooo much and not been sunny enough to dry some of the rain up that my garden is having a hard time. I had to start over with many beds because some kind of worm infestation and the rain. So I replanted new seeds for navy beans, kidney beans, peas, green beans and sweet peppers (Something also got into our garden and ate my transplants of sweet peppers) We have also planted more sweet corn seeds, more tomato transplants, and a few more feed corn transplants. Mr. Smith is finishing cleaning out the chicken coop in anticipation of the baby chicks next week. Well they will be inside brooding for a little while, but going outside comes faster then you think! So things are still going. We have also just switched kiddo #4 to cloth diapers and they are amazing! They grow with her! Less diapers to buy and closer to self sufficiency. :)
